Frequently Asked Questions
- Is Boxing for everyone?
- Yes. No matter what your age or fitness level anyone can do Boxing training.
- I've always wanted to try Boxing but it's too intimidating…
- Boxing Clubs can give that feeling on first impressions… here at the Boxing Clinic it's just a bunch of young professionals both male & female with little boxing experience all learning together.
- Is there a possibility I can get punched or knocked out?
- No. There is no danger of you harming yourself or getting knocked out… There is very little contact. You spend your time learning the technique of Boxing while getting your heart rate up with boxing drills and exercises.
- Does the Boxing Clinic have more males then females?
- The Boxing clinic is very evenly split. Maybe a little more female but not by much.
- Apart from learning Boxing techniques what will Boxing Training do for me?
Boxing Training is the best way to get fit, it also improves:
- co-ordination
- balance
- speed
- weight loss
- confidence
- overall fitness
- How many people can attend a session?
- The sessions can be anywhere from 8 people to 30 - it all depends on members' work commitments.
- How many instructors run the session?
- There are 3 instructors in every session in most clubs and classes. In Central London there is only one instructor per 30 members. That's why we are so popular and one of the busiest clubs in Central London, because with 3 instructors we can keep an eye on everyone.
- What if I really like Boxing and want to take it further?
- On Fridays some of us from the Club visit a Boxing gym were we have sole use of the facilities which includes a ring there you can have a go at a very light sparring session to get the experience of what it feels like to take it further.
- What equipment do I need?
- All you need is your gym kit, a pair of Boxing gloves, a pair of hand wraps and a skipping rope. (Men - 16oz gloves / Women - 10 or 14oz gloves)
- Ok I’m in ( I think ). What do I need to do next?
- Easy, just email us when you would like to start, tell us if you want us to organise your boxing kit for you or if your getting it yourself. We will confirm a start date via email and that's it.
